January 19, 2010Post a Question/Comment to this blog. So where does God fit in your life? The more research and discovery I do around life purpose, goal setting, and living a fulfilled and balanced life, the more I have come to realize our relationship with God forms the foundation for everything else we do in our life. God is our rock and in him we can lean. As we move through out the day, aiming to live with purpose and passion, we need to realize that this too is God's desire. He created us for a unique purpose, and that purpose was given to us so we can shine and make the world a better place. Each of us has a unique set of characteristics... a unique combination of talents and abilities... a unique set of interests.... and it is from this our unique purpose will arise. It is our purpose that makes a difference in the world... it is what God designed us to be. Does this mean the "day-to-day stuff" doesn't have to be done - of course not... grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning are part of the daily routines... but it is in the daily routines that we can learn to lean on God for understanding, for direction and guidance, and for opportunities to do what he created us for. We will spend most of our life in the process of achieving our goals; it is in the daily being though that we find meaning & fulfillment. Check today - where do you fit God in your life? Do you allow him to lead? Do you trust him to be in charge? Do you give him control? Giving up control... trusting and having faith in an unseen God... believing that anything with Him is possible, is not always an easy journey. Be gentle on yourself and start building this relationship one day at a time. Feel free to contact me if this is something you would like to discuss further.... I may not have answers, but I do have an open heart and ears to listen. |
